About Us

Cove Sailing Club is the home of the Loch Long One Design, a wooden keel boat built for racing along the shores of the Loch. The club extends a warm welcome to all, sailors and non sailors alike and is always looking to accept new members.

The club hosts at least twice weekly race meetings during the summer season and a wide range of social activities throughout the year such as our annual Burns' supper, games nights, Sunday Scran project, themed food nights and much more.

There is also a vibrant cadet section where children can enjoy dinghy and Loch Long sailing with their own annual regatta.

Racing

Cove Sailing Club offers regular racing events - biweekly race nights, alongside an annual race calendar. Central to this is our Loch Long One Design fleet who have 10+ boats competing in the racing series. We are always keen for members to get involved in sailing activities whether that's out on the water, in our race office or behind the bar. Never sailed before? Don't let that stop you!

Cadets are provided oppurtinities to join our Loch Long racing throughout the year.

As well as a full season of cadet sailing training, the cadets are also offered life skills and experiences such as waitering, events support and event planning.

Cove Sailing Club hosts social events such as barbecues, dinners, and quiz nights for members and their families. Other events might include regatta dinners, awards ceremonies, and fundraising events.

We also frequently host educational events such as guest speakers and workshops on topics related to sailing and boating.

Social events at Cove Sailing Club are a great way for members and the community to connect with one another, share their passion for sailing, and build a sense of community around the club.
